Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical use of antimicrobial agents in our hospital outpatient prescription, and find the problems in the clinical use of antimicrobial agents, so as to improve clinical rational drug use.
METHODS A total of 6000 prescriptions were collected randomly from Jan. to Dec. 2013 from our hospital outpatient clinics. The proportion of application of antimicrobial agents, kinds of drugs, combination medication administration route, purpose of drug use were analyzed. Data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.
RESULTS There were 3485 prescriptions with antimicrobial agents, accounting for 58.08%, mainly with single drug, 2485 cases, accounting for 70.53%. Method of administration was mainly in oral, totally 1986 cases, accounting for 56.99%. Totally 2256 prescriptions were used for prevention, accounting for 64.80%. The category mainly was cephalosporins antimicrobial agents, totally 2026 cases, accounting for 58.13%.
CONCLUSION The problems like high proportion of antibacterial drugs in clinical application, improper combination medication, unreasonable administration route and poor drug selection exist in our hospital. We should continue to strengthen the management of the use of antimicrobial agents.
