Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of povidone iodophor bath combined with Bactroban topical treatment for neonatal impetigo infection, so as to provide scientific basis for the choice of clinical treatment.
METHODS A total of 40 cases of children with neonatal impetigo infection in our hospital from Jul. 2010-to Jun. 2015 were selected, according to a random number table method who were divided into two groups (povidone iodine dipping+Bactroban 20 cases) and control group ( Bactroban, 20 cases). Clinical efficacy and adverse reactions between the two groups of children were compared. SPSS 19.0 was used for statistic analysis for data.
RESULTS The total effective rate was 95.00% in observation group, which was higher than that in control group 80.00%. There were 2 cases of hypoproteinemia in control group, 2 cases of electrolyte imbalance, 1 case of hypoglycemia, and 1 case sepsis, and the total incidence rate was 30.00%.
CONCLUSION Povidone iodine dipping joint Bactroban topical treatment for neonatal impetigo infection has remarkable result, which is safe and reliable and with high clinical cure rate.
