Abstract: OBJECTIVE Based on the application reality of nosocomial infections management information system, the study aims to unify the data collection specification, which can make information more objective, accurate and comparable. METHODS The study explored the national and international situation of nosocomial infections informationized management system, especially focusing on the development of nosocomial infections informationized management , the standards of informationized monitoring,the sources, definitions, formats and collection methods of data. RESULTS At present, many regional nosocomial infection monitoring networks have been established within different scopes, which improved the supervisory ability of the nosocomial infections, but lacking of unified data collection specification restricted the function of early warning and intervention to the risk of regional nosocomial infections. CONCLUSION It is necessary and urgent to implement better nosocomial infection management based on the risk prevention and control by unified data collection specification, which has great significance in promoting the ability of monitoring of regional nosocomial infections. After the data collection specification is unified, it will improve the accuracy and timeliness of the monitoring data of regional nosocomial infections, enhance the sensitivity of discovering nosocomial infections, increase the predictability of nosocomial infections outbreak, guarantee the normalization of the nosocomial infection information issue, promote the coordinated development of nosocomial infection informationized management.
