Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression state of body stress hormones of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients complicated with pulmonary infections so as to provide guidance for control of adverse body stress hormones.
METHODS A total of 45 chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients complicated with pulmonary infections who were treated in the hospital from Jan 2013 to Mar 2015 were assigned as the group A, meanwhile, 45 patients with single chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases were chosen as the group B, 45 patients with single pulmonary infections were set as the group C, and 45 healthy people were assigned as the group D.The levels of serum body stress hormones were compared among the four groups of study objects, and the levels of serum body stress hormones were compared among the patients with different severities of pulmonary infections and stages of pulmonary infections in the group A.
RESULTS The levels of serum body stress hormones, including cortisol(Cor),aldosterone (ALD),norepinephrine(NE), and angiotensinⅡ(Ang-Ⅱ), were respectively (298.86±21.35)ng/ml, (28.76±3.24)ng/L, (284.98±17.37)ng/L, and (68.54±7.28)ng/L in the group A, higher than those in the group B, C, and D; the levels of the serum body stress hormones of the group B and C were higher than those of the group D.There was significant difference in the levels of the serum body stress hormones among the patients with mild, moderate, and severe pulmonary infections in the group A; there was significant difference in the levels of the serum body stress hormones between the patients with pulmonary infections in acute stage and the patients with pulmonary infections in recovery stage (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The body stress hormones of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients complicated with pulmonary infections show high expression state, and the levels of the body stress hormones are even higher in the patients with severe infections.
