Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical characteristics of bacterial vaginosis patients complicated with other gynecological infectious diseases so as to provide guidance for clinical treatment.
METHODS A total of 126 bacterial vaginosis patients complicated with other gynecological infectious diseases who were treated in the hospital from May 2013 to Apr 2015 were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 63 cases in each, and the clinical data of the enrolled patients were analyzed. The observation group was treated with metronidazole combined with vitamin C, while the control group was given single metronidazole. The clinical efficacy was observed and compared between the two groups of patients after the treatment, and the statistical analysis was performed with the use of SPSS 11.0 software.
RESULTS The statistical analysis of the species of pathogens isolated from vaginal secretions an the types of mixed infections in the two groups of bacterial vaginosis patients showed that the patients with Ureaplasma urealyticum infection accounted for 32.54%, and the proportion of the patients with mixed bacterial and yeast infections was high. Among the patients complicated with gynecological diseases, 48.41% had pelvic inflammatory disease. The cure rate of the observation group was 55.56%, significantly higher than 39.68% of the control group; the effective rate of clinical treatment of the observation group was 90.48%, significantly higher than 68.25% of the control group (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The metronidazole combined with vitamin C can achieve significant clinical effect on treatment of the bacterial vaginosis patients complicated with other gynecological diseases, with the disease outcome remarkable, and it is worthy to be promoted in the hospital.
