Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the treatment measures for tuberculosis complicated with fungal infections and observe the clinical effects so as to raise the clinical cure rate.
METHODS A total of 120 tuberculosis patients complicated with fungal infections who were treated in the hospital from Oct 2014 to Oct 2015 were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with fluconazole or voriconazole, while the experimental group was given the combined Thymopentin based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical curative effects and arterial blood gas indexes were observed and compared between the two groups of patients.
RESULTS The total effective rate of treatment of the experimental group was 93.30%, significantly higher than 80.0% of the control group(
P<0.05). The bacterial clearance rate of the experimental group was 93.3% after the treatment, significantly higher than 58.3% of the control group (
P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions of the experimental group was 6.7%, significantly lower than 15.0% of the control group (
P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the arterial blood gas indexes between the two groups of patients before the treatment; the pH, SaO
2, and PaO
2 were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group after the treatment(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The antifungal agents combined with Tanreqing can achieve satisfied effect on treatment of the tuberculosis patients complicated with fungal infections, with the incidence of drug-induced adverse reactions low, and it is worthy to be promoted.
