Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study the change situation of serum and wound secretion inflammation mediators of patients with surgical incision infections,so as to provide reference frame for the clinical medication.
METHODS Totally 46 patients with surgical incision infections in hospital from Jan. 2014 to Sep. 2015 were selected as the observation group, another 46 patients without surgical incision infections at the same time were selected as the control group. Then the serum and wound secretion inflammation mediators of observation group and control group were compared, and the serum and wound secretion inflammation mediators of observation group with mild, moderate and severe infection were compared too.
RESULTS The serum inflammation mediators including interleukin-1 β(IL
-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and prostaglandin E2(PGE2),substance P(SP),bradykinin(BK) of observation group were respectively (2.89±0.35)pg/ml,(8.95±1.23)pg/ml,(1.84±0.2)ng/ml and(184.64±20.59)pg/ml,(7.20±0.68)μg/ml,(7.87±1.24)μg/L,and they were all higher than those of control group, and the serum and wound secretion inflammation mediators of observation groups with mild, moderate and severe infection had significant differences too(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The level of serum and wound secretion inflammation mediators of patients with surgical incision infections changed significantly and the severity of inflammation had great influence on the expression of those mediators. These indicators have clinical significance when guiding the anti-infection measures.
