Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study clinical treatment of patients with
Kluyvera ascorbata caused infections with long time unhealed sinus after thyroid surgeries so as to provide reference for clinical treatments.
METHODS Totally 50 cases of patients with
K.ascorbata caused infections with long time unhealed sinus after thyroid surgeries from Oct. 2014 to Nov. 2015 were chosen as study objects. They were divided into control group and experiment group with 25 cases each according to random number method. The control group was treated with routine therapy, while the experiment group was treated with surgery based on routine therapy. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared.
RESULTS The overall effect rate of the experiment group was 92.0%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (72.0%) (
P<0.05).The serum IL-5 and IL-8 levels were not significantly different before the treatments. After treatments, serum interleukin -5 (IL-5) and serum interleukin -8 (IL-8) levels of the experiment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (
P<0.05). The complication rate was 8.0% in the experiment group, which was significantly lower than that of the control group (36.0%) (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION Routine therapy combines with surgeries can effectively cure patients with
K. ascorbata caused infections with long time unhealed sinus after thyroid surgeries. It can improve clinical effect as well as improve patients' life quality, hence need to be promoted widely.
