Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the predisposing factors for severe acute pancreatitis patients complicated with abdominal infections so as to provide guidance for clinical prevention and treatment.
METHODS The clinical data of 60 patients with severe acute pancreatitis who were treated in hospitals from May 2010 to Apr 2015 were retrospectively analyzed, then the enrolled patients were divided into the observation group (the infection group) and the control group (the non-infection group) according to the status of infection, with 30 cases in each group.The indexes were observed and compared between the two groups, the logistic regression analysis of the related indexes was performed so as to find out the related influencing factors.
RESULTS The analysis revealed that the predisposing factors for the severe acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal infections included the number of organ failure (
OR=3.597), intestinal dysfunction (more than 5 days), peritoneal effusions (
OR=2.975), and blood calcium (
OR=2.121).
CONCLUSION The blood calcium, number of organ failure, peritoneal effusions, and intestinal dysfunction are the predisposing factors for the severe acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal infections.It is necessary for the hospital to strengthen the management of the factors for the infections and the treatment of the patients with severe acute pancreatitis in early stage so as to reduce the incidence of abdominal infections.
