Abstract:
Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response syndrome caused by invasion of pathogens or conditional pathogenic bacteria into blood circulation, it may develop to severe sepsis, septic shock, and multiple organ dysfunction when it is out of control. At present, there are about 200 kinds of biomarkers for the early diagnosis and prediction of prognosis of sepsis. The review tries to illustrate the progress of research on the related indicators for diagnosis and prediction of prognosis of sepsis, including soluble CD14 subtype (sCD14-ST), soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR),and pentraxin 3 (PTX3).
