RESULTS The clean zone, semi-clean zone, and contamination zone were clearly divided in the hemodialysis rooms in 96.67% of the hospitals, 77.78% of the hospitals had clear region markings. The nosocomial infection management system has been established in over 90.00% of the hospitals, the external disinfection of dialysis machines was carried out in 90.00% of the hospitals after the dialysis; the internal disinfection of the dialysis machines was conducted in 92.22% of the hospitals after the dialysis; the infection indicators for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, and HIV were detected for the patients who received the initial dialysis in 100.00% of the hospitals; the cycle of reexamination of the infection indicators for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, and HIV was no more than 6 months in 91.11% of the hospitals. The environmental hygiene monitoring was carried out in the dialysis rooms of most of the hospitals.
CONCLUSION The management of the hemodialysis rooms is less standardized and the supervision is inadequate in the 90 hospitals of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is necessary to strengthen the management and further standardize the management of nosocomial infections in the hemodialysis rooms.
