Abstract: OBJECTIVE To analyze the current situation and research focuses on the study of international hospital Infection control, so as to provide references for the research of hospital infection control. METHODS Infection control literatures published from 2014 to 2015 in PubMed were searched, and topic words and other information were extracted. Bibliometrics, bibliographic item cooccurrence matrix builder(BICOMB),and graphical clustering toolkit(gCluto) were used for bibliographic analysis, and high-frequency MeSH terms were analyzed by cluster visualization analysis. RESULTS There were 3294 research papers published about infection control,with 97 high frequency MeSHs.The high frequency MeSHs were classified into 7 categories by using double cluster analysis:catheter related bloodstream infection, management of hospital infection control organization, the infection of Staphylococcus, blood transfusion and blood safety, hospital infection control, disinfection of medical equipment, and the disinfection of acid oxidizing potential water. CONCLUSION The bibliometric analysis of the field of hospital infection control could reveal the current situation and development trend of the field. In the field of hospital infection control in our country, the researchers need to keep up with the international research focuses, and constantly improve the ability of infection control.
