Abstract: OBJECTIVE To save the time of exposure for patients with infectious diseases effectively, make sure the visiting being safe, ordered and efficient, implement the principles of control and prevention of infectious diseases, and establish the standardized triage process of fever clinic. METHODS The standardization of operation guide was formulated based on summarizing and improving the triage process for fever clinic of our hospital. RESULTS By taking prevention and control of infectious diseases as the main line, and patients as center , our triage had the epidemic outbreaks of SARS, H1N1, H7N9, and Ebola perfectly, and it shortened the time of early recognition, early reporting, early quarantine and early treatment of the infectious disease, avoided the hospital infection. On the premise of ensuring medical safety, it reduced waiting time of the patients, increase efficiency of the treatment, relieve patients' mental stress and improve the satisfaction of the patients. CONCLUSION This process has been proved feasible and effective. Besides achieving fundamental functions of fever clinic, it shows the principle of humanity-based management, so our triage process is worth to popularize.
