Abstract:
OBJECTIV To explore the expression of human apoptosis related factor (Fas), human apoptosis-related factor ligand(FasL), and wing-shaped spiral transcription factor P3 (Foxp3) in wart lesions tissues of patients with condyloma acuminate and observe the correlation with HPV DNA load.
METHODS Totally 100 wart lesion tissues were collected from the patients with condyloma acuminate who were treated in the hospital from Jan 2015 to Dec 2015 and were assigned as the condyloma acuminate group, and 50 normal foreskin tissues were collected from patients who underwent the circumcision and were set as the normal foreskin group. The HPV DNA was detected by using PCR fluorescence; Fas, FasL, and Foxp 3 were detected by means of immunohistochemistry. The expression of Fas, FasL, and Foxp3 was observed and compared between the wart lesions tissues and the normal foreskin tissues; the expression of Fas, FasL, and Foxp3 was observed and compared among the condyloma acuminate tissues with different HPV DNA loads; the correlation between the expression of Fas, FasL and Foxp3 and the HPV DNA load was analyzed.
RESULTS The positive rate of Fas of the condyloma acuminate group was significantly lower than that of the normal foreskin group (
P<0.05), however, the positive rate of FasL of the condyloma acuminate group was significantly higher than that of the normal foreskin group (
P<0.05). The positive rate of Fas of the high-load HPV DNA group was significantly lower than that of the low-load HPV DNA group, however, the positive rate of FasL of the high-load HPV DNA group was significantly higher than that of the low-load HPV DNA group (
P<0.05). The positive labeling index and positive rate of Foxp3 of the condyloma acuminate group were significantly higher than those of the normal foreskin group (
P<0.05); the positive labeling index and positive rate of Foxp3 of the high-load HPV DNA group were significantly higher than those of the low-load HPV DNA group (
P<0.05). The result of correlative analysis indicated that the expression of Fas in the wart lesion tissues was negatively correlated with the HPV DNA load (
r=-0.281), the FasL was positively correlated with the HPV DNA load (
r=0.346), and the Foxp3 was positively correlated with the HPV DNA load (r=0.413).
CONCLUSION The expression of Fas in condyloma tissues is decreased and is negatively correlated with the HPV DNA. The expression of FasL or Foxp3 is increased and is positively correlated with the HPV DNA.
