Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the recognization and factors of nosocomial infection knowledge for new staffs in the department of stomatology, so as to provide the advile for effective prevention and control of infection.
METHODS A total of 86 new staffs in the department of stomatology from Jun. 2015 to Sep. 2016 were chosen as research objects. The nosocomail infection knowledge questionnaire was used, and the results of staff assessment of different occupations, ages, education levels and social support degrees were analysiced.
Logistic analysis was used to analyze the relationship between knowledge of infection for the staff and the above factors.
RESULTS The nosocomial infection knowledge of 86 new staffs in the department of stomatology was limited, and the levels of lower, general and higher were 12.79%, 18.60% and 68.60%, respectively. The nosocomial infection knowledge awareness of nurses, younger, less education level and less social support degree were higher, which were 58.33%, 60.00%, 40.00% and 36.36%, and lower than those of doctors, elders, higher education level and higher social support degree of 81.58%, 78.05%, 89.47 and 78.18% respectiely.
Logistic analysis showed that the occupation, age, education level and social support degree were closely related to the knowledge cognition degree of nosocomial infection of staffs (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The initial knowledge recognization degree of nosocomial infection for new staffs in the department of stomatology is limited. Occupational, age, educational level and social support are the important factors of nosocomial infection knowledge, so we should give full attention and intervention on it.
