Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the role of nosocomial infection control group in improving the cleanliness of environmental object surface, so as to make nosocomial infection and control work more systematic and detailed and improve the cleanliness of environmental objects surface.
METHODS The nosocomial infection control group routinely inspected, directed, and monitored individual care units as planned. The cleaning quality of the environmental objects surface were analyzed and improved by PDCA cycle management tools. In Jan. and Jun. in 2015, the nosocomial infection control group conducted a comparative analysis of the results of various clinical departments.
RESULTS In Jan. 2015, before the intervention of nosocomial infection control group, the cleanliness of environmental object surface of clinical departments were surveyed, including 66 items, and 45 had problems, 21 were qualified, with the defect rate of 68.2%. In the existing problems, insufficient hand hygiene, departments without quality control, and imperfect department system was accounted for 70.6%. After hospital infection control group intervention, in Jun. of the same year, in the same survey, 22 had problems, 44 were qualified, with the defect rate of only 33.3%, and the defect rate was significantly reduced. With the nosocomial infection control group supervision and the efforts of various departments, the implementation of standard prevention and strictly regulation of the hand washing, the specification rate of six-step hand washing method reached 90.0%. Regular quality control was conducted, a perfect reward and punishment system was established, wiping the object surface was as much as possible to choose disinfectant wet wipes and use "Z" -type wipe at least 4 times a day.
CONCLUSION The cleanliness of hospital environmental objects surface is an important indicator of showing hospital infection control. It is of vital importance to improve the cleanliness of environmental object surface, reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections and give full play to the role of hospital infection control group.
