Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To analyze influencing factors of rooming-in nosocomial infection of puerpera, and to make the prevention and control measures of nosocomial infection.
METHODS A total of 58 cases of puerpera with nosocomial infection in Women and Children's Hospital of Jinzhou from Jan, 2013 to Dec, 2014 were chosen as observation group, and another 58 uninfected patients were randomly selected as control group. Unconditioned logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related factors of rooming-in nosocomial infection.
RESULTS The unconditioned logistic regression analysis showed that pregnant woman and puerpera in multi-patient ward, premature rupture of membranes, and vulvar incision were the risk factors of the rooming-in nosocomial infection. Vaginal delivery, neonatal umbilical cord disinfection twice a day, neonatal bathing beside the rooming-in bed, and high hand hygiene compliance rate of medical staff were the protective factors of the rooming-in nosocomial infection of puerpera.
CONCLUSION The rooming-in nosocomial infection was caused by many factors. The measures of providing single ward to puerpera, taking active treatment of pregnancy complications, providing correct nutrition to pregnant women to avoid macrosomia are recommended. Reducing the cesarean delivery rate and the vaginal delivery side-cutting rate, avoiding bathing newborns in public baths, and encouraging puerpera choose vaginal delivery way were put forward. It should to enhance the consciousness of prevention and control of nosocomial infection among the medical staff, standardize hand hygiene of medical staff, and strengthen health education, so as to effectively reduce the rooming-in nosocomial infection rate.
