Abstract:
OBJECTIV To investigate the effects and clinical significance of pulse washing on the expression of inflammatory mediators in patients with acute bone and soft tissue infections.
METHODS A total of 218 patients with bone and soft tissue infection from May 2011 to May 2016 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups according to the different infections wounds methods. The traditional group of 107 patients was treated with Vaseline gauze for anti-infection treatment, and the study group of 111 cases was taken with pulse processing for debridement treatment. The changes of the expression levels of inflammatory stress factors of hypersensitive C-reactive protein, tumor cytokine-alpha, interferon-gamma, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (hs-CRP, TNF-α, IFN-γ, ESR) and other inflammatory factors of interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, interleukin-8, and interleukin-10 (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8 and IL-10) and wound normal healing effect were compared.
RESULTS The expression of inflammatory stress factors (hs-CRP(2.31 ± 0.56) pg / ml , IFN-γ(22.57 ± 3.76) pg / ml and ESR(13.67±3.82) mm / h of study group were significantly decreased compared with those of traditional group (
P<0.05). The expression of TNF-α ((38.57 ± 2.76) pg / ml) of study group was significantly higher than that of traditional group (
P<0.05). The other inflammatory cytokines of IL-1β(3.21±0.83) pg/ml, IL-6(78.82±12.84) pg/ml, IL-8(81.46±13.76) pg/ml, and IL-10(4.67±2.92) pg/mlof study group were significantly decreased than those of control group (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION Pulse washing has a good anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effect in acute bone and soft tissue infection. It can significantly improve the expression of inflammatory stress factors and other inflammatory factors, and promote the wound healing. It is of high operability and positive clinical significance in the treatment.
