Abstract:
OBJECTIV To comprehensively analyze the factors for nosocomial infection ins cystoscopy room, put forward the effective control strategies, and attach great importance to the importance of work of the cystoscopy room.
METHODS The clinical data of 5193 patients who received outpatient examinations and surgeries before and after reconstruction of cystoscopy room were retrospectively analyzed, 2456 patients who were treated with control of infections before the reconstruction (from Sep 2015 to Feb 2016) were assigned as the control group, while 2737 patients who were treated with control of infection after the reconstruction (from Jul 2016 to Dec 2016) were set as the intervention group. The infection rate and patients' satisfaction were compared between the two groups of patients so as to analyze the factors for the infection in wards, and the comprehensive strategies for control of the infection were explored.
RESULTS After the risk management strategies were implemented, there were 6 outpatient department patients with infections and 3 surgery patients with infections in the intervention group, the infection rate of the intervention group were remarkably lower than that of the control group (
P<0.01), however, the patients' satisfaction of the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group (
P<0.01).
CONCLUSION The comprehensive regulation and management system, reasonable environment layout, high-quality health care team, and rigid procedures of cleaning and disinfection may effectively reduce the infection rate of the patients of cystoscopy room and improve the patients' satisfaction.
