Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the prevalence of uterine incision infection after uterine myomectomy and analyze the risk factors so as to put forward the targeted prevention measures.
METHODS A total of 342 patients who underwent the uterine myomectomy in department of gynecology from Dec 2015 to Dec 2016 were enrolled in the study. The prevalence of incision infection was analyzed, and the risk factors for the incision infection were explored by means of questionnaire survey.
RESULTS HT5"SS Of the 342 patients, 47 had the incision infection, with the infection rate 13.74%.The result of univariate analysis indicated that the incidence rate of postoperative incision infection was significantly higher in the patients with no less than 50 years of age, body mass index no less than 25 kg/m
2, hypoproteinemia, complication with diabetes mellitus, multiple myoma, type Ⅱ myoma, operation duration no less than 35 min, length of incision no less than 4cm, or without preoperative use of antibiotics than in other types of antibiotics (
P<0.05).The result of the multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the independent risk factors for the incision infection included the no less than 50 years of age, body mass index no less than 25 kg/m
2, hypoproteinemia, complication with diabetes mellitus, multiple myoma, type Ⅱ myoma, operation duration no less than 35 min, length of incision no less than 4cm, and without preoperative use of antibiotics (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe incidence rate of the incision infection is high after uterine myomectomy, which is influenced by multiple factors. It is necessary for the hospital to take targeted prevention and treatment measures according to the risk factors so as to reduce the infection rate.
