Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical efficacy of viaminate capsules for oral administration combined with 0.1% tacrolimus ointment for external use in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis.
METHODS A total of 426 patients with seborrheic dermatitis from Oct. 2011 to Oct. 2015 in our hospital were selected, and were divided into 2 groups, 213 cases in control group treated with 0.1% tacrolimus ointment for external use, and 213 cases in experiment group treated with viaminate capsules for oral administration on the basis of control group. The skin physiological indexes, serum levels of inflammatory cytokines and serum levels of oxidative stress of the two groups were observed and recorded, and the clinical effect and the incidence of adverse reaction were compared after the treatment.
RESULTS The effective rate of experiment group was significantly better than that in control group(
P<0.05). After treatment, the water content of the cuticle in the skin of the two groups increased, and TEWL and the oil content decreased, and the difference was significant (
P<0.001). After treatment, the levels of serum interleukin -10 (IL-10), catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in experiment group were (23.04±3.15) pg/ ml, (8.43±1.16) U/ml (14.27±2.03)U/ml,respectively, significantly higher than those in control group (
P<0.001), and levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interferon gamma (IFN-γ), and serum malondialdehyde (MDA) in experiment group were (209.05±24.37)pg/ml, (11.02±1.46)pg/ml and (1.26±0.15)pg/ml,respectively which were significantly lower than those in control group (
P<0.001).
CONCLUSION The viaminate capsules for oral administration combined with 0.1% tacrolimus ointment for external use in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis has curative effect, they can effectively improve the skin physiological indexes, regulate the level of inflammatory factors, inhibit oxidative stress reaction, and have high safety.
