Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical effect of Xingnaojing injection combined with western medicine on sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE).
METHODS A total of 64 patients with SAE who were hospitalized in ICU from Jan. 2016 to Jan. 2017 were divided into treatment group and control group, with 32 patients in each group. The control group was given symptomatic treatment,and the treatment group was given the treatment of Xingnaojing injection on the basis of the control group. The evaluation of the Glasgow coma scale score (GCS), and the curative effect evaluation of the two groups of patients after treatment were observed. The changes of Neuron-specifie enolase (NSE), IL-6 and CRP before and after treatment were observed, and the mortality rate after treatment was observed.
RESULTS After treatment,GCS scores were elevated in both groups,and the score of the treatment group was 14.23±1.36, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (
P=0.004). The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(
P=0.021). The levels of NSE, IL-6 and CRP in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (
P<0.001),and those of the treatment group were (8.55±1.62)ng/ml, (48.01±10.60)ng/L and (27.31±7.60)mg/L, which were significantly better than those of the control group(
P<0.001). There were 5 cases of death in the treatment group, which was significantly less than 12 cases in the control group (
P=0.017).
CONCLUSION Xingnaojing injection combined with western medicine for the treatment of sepsis-related encephalopathy have a clear effect, which can reduce the inflammation indexes.
