Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the influencing factors for the occupational stress and sharp injuries among health care workers and explore the relationship between the sharp injuries and the occupational stress so as to provide theoretical basis for improvement of occupational health and prevention of the sharp injuries among the health care workers.
METHODS By means of stratified sampling method, the occupational stress based on Chinese Version of Job Content Questionnaire(C-JCQ) and questionnaires for sharp injuries of health care works were employed to conduct onsite survey for 626 health care workers of 34 medical institutions in Wuwei city, Gansu province, and the obtained data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS24.0 software.
RESULTS Totally 583 valid questionnaires were recycled, with the valid rate 93.13%.Among the 583 survey objects, there were significant differences in the gender, working years, occupation, professional title and marriage state (
P<0.05).The health care workers who had primary or lower professional titles or did not get married were more likely to have the occupational stress.Among the 583 health care workers, 310 case-times had the sharp injuries, with the incidence rate 53.17%, and there was no significant difference in the incidence of sharp injuries among the health care workers with different types of occupational stress.
CONCLUSION The incidence of occupational stress vary in the health care workers with different genders, working years, occupations, professional titles or marriage state in Weiwu city, Gansu province, the incidence of sharp injuries is relatively high in this area.It is necessary to formulate scientific measures based on the influencing factors to remit the occupational stress and strengthen the education of occupational protection.
