Abstract: OBJECTIVE To formulate the prevention measures and procedures based on standardized prevention and transmission routes and supervise the implementation so as to prevent the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in medical staff and the cross infection in patients. METHODS The measures were developed based on the various regulations and guidelines for prevention and control of nosocomial infection as well as the previous experience, which then were implemented under supervision. RESULTS Aiming at the key links for prevention and control of infectious diseases, the measures for prevention and control of infection were formulated in detail in terms of the management of patients, layout process, disinfection of air and environmental surfaces, disposal of medical waste, personal protection and protection of medical staff. CONCLUSION The prevention and control of nosocomial infection is a major constituent part of the prevention and control of infectious disease epidemic in medical institutions and may guarantee the effective treatment of patients and protection of medical staff. It is necessary to adhere to the basic systems and requirements for prevention and control of nosocomial infection, conduct the training for prevention and control of infection at ordinary times, raise the medical staff's awareness of the prevention and control of infection and improve the personal protection skills.
