Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the characteristics of nosocomial infection, strategies and measures for prevention and controls since the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic so as to provide guidance for control of the nosocomial infection.
METHODS The nosocomial infection incidents that happened from Jan 2020 to Feb 2020 were summarized, the characteristics and risk factors for the nosocomial infection were analyzed, and the strategies for prevention and control of nosocomial COVID-19 were proposed based on relevant legal regulations and practical experience.
RESULTS The medical staff were dominant among the cases of nosocomial COVID-19, and the factors for the infection included the highly contagious 2019-nCoV, population without immunity, droplet transmission, loose protection measures, poor control of infection cases in initial stage and incomplete testing means. The specific strategies and measures for prevention and control of COVID-19 were put forward based on three aspects: adherence to legal prevention and treatment, reasonable and standardized requirements for protection and disinfection, timely and effective response to nosocomial infection incident.
CONCLUSION The nosocomial COVID-19 has become a major influencing factor for prevention and control of the epidemic, there are a variety of risk factors which are difficult to control. It is necessary to adhere to the legal and scientific prevention and control of the nosocomial COVID-19.
