Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression and significance of serum interleukin-18(IL-18), transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) and salusin-α(salusin-α) in patients with hypertensive
Helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection.
METHODS A total of 94 patients with hypertension in the fourth hospital of Hebei Medical University from Aug. 2016 to Jul. 2019 were recruited as the research subjects. They were divided into the two groups according to the results of Hp test: 42 cases were in the Hp positive group and 52 cases were in the Hp negative group. The serum levels of IL-18, TGF-β1, salusin-α and Hp-IgG in patients with different hypertension grades between the two groups were compared, the correlation between the indexes and Hp antibody(Hp-IgG) were evaluated and the diagnostic value of combined detection for Hp infection in hypertension were analyzed.
RESULTS The serum IL-18, TGF-β1 and Hp-IgG levels increased but the serum salusin-α level decreased with the increase of hypertension grade(
P<0.05); serum IL-18 and TGF-β1 levels were positively correlated with Hp-IgG levels, whereas serum salusin-α levels were negatively correlated with Hp-IgG levels(
P<0.05); serum IL-18 and TGF-β1 levels in the Hp-positive group were higher than that in the Hp-negative group, and salusin-α levels were lower than that in the Hp-negative group(
P<0.05). The AUC value of the combined detection of serum IL-18, TGF-β1 and salusin-α in the diagnosis of hypertension Hp infection was 0.869, which was better than that of single detection(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION Serum IL-18, TGF-β1 and salusin-α expression are closely related to the progression of hypertension and Hp infection, and combined detection can further improve the diagnostic sensitivity and provide a reference for improving the clinical diagnosis and treatment basis.
