Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical effect of Jinping decoction on recurrent respiratory tract infection and immunity in children.
METHODS Total of 146 children with recurrent respiratory tract infection admitted to Haikou women's and children's Hospital from Jan. 2017 to Dec. 2018 were divided into the control group and study group, 73 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine and oral pidotimod to regulate immunity. On the basis of the therapy in the control group, the study group was given Jinping Decoction orally. TCM symptom score, therapeutic effect, the disappearance time of clinical symptoms, serum immunoglobulin(IgG, IgA, IgM) levels were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.
RESULTS The scores of anorexia, complexion, dysuria, spontaneous sweating and fatigue in the study group were significantly lower than that in the control group(
P<0.05); the effective rate in the study group was 91.78%, which was significantly higher than that of 79.45% in the control group(
P<0.05). The clinical symptoms subsided earlier significantly in the study group than that in the control group(
P<0.05). Immune function indexes such as IgA, IgG and IgM in the study group were significantly higher than that in the control group after the treatment(
P<0.05). The improvement of incidence and condition in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION Jinping decoction is effective in the treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection. It can effectively improve the clinical symptoms, improve the body immunity, reduce the incidence of children, shorten the course of disease, and should be worthy of further clinical research.
