Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To compare the cleaning effects of traditional cleaning and mechanical cleaning on arms of Da Vinci robot.
METHODS The test model of cleaning effect of Da Vinci robot arms was established by PLA General Hospital based on standards, the structural characteristics of different types of Da Vinci robot arms were analyzed, Maryland bipolar forceps were selected as the cleaning targets. The traditional cleaning method and mechanical cleaning method were used to clean the Da Vinci robot arms. The residual pollutants were observed by visual method after washing, the residual proteins were detected by modified O-phthalaldehyde(OPA) method after washing, and the cleaning effects were compared between the two methods.
RESULTS The test results of both the traditional cleaning method and the mechanical cleaning method were qualified by visual inspection. By means of the modified OPA method, the maximum volume of residual proteins of the mechanical cleaning methods was 74
μg/piece, 0.26
μg/cm
2, less than 151
μg/piece, 0.54
μg/cm
2 of the traditional cleaning method, and there was significant difference(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION Both of the cleaning methods can meet standard requirements for residual proteins, however, the residual proteins of the mechanical cleaning method are less than those of the traditional cleaning method.
