Abstract:
The frequent occurrence of the emergent infectious disease events brings great challenges to the infection prevention and control of health care facilities, and how to construct a scientific and reasonable emergency respond system for the health care facilities has become a hot spot for current research. The Haddon model, a classic research tool in injury epidemiology, addresses the different phases of action of host, agent/vector factors, and environment for prevention and emergency response. This paper focuses on the fundamental features of the health care facilities in China, the Haddon model that is applied in responding to the outbreaks of infectious diseases is systematically reviewed so as to provide scientific theoretical basis for tackling the outbreaks of infectious diseases in medical institutions of China.
