Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prevalence of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection among the patients with cervical cancer and analyze the diagnostic efficiencies of microribonucleic acid (miR) -let-7d-5p, miR-3607-3p and cancerous inhibitor of proteinphosphatase 2A (CIP2A).
METHODS Totally 124 patients with cervical lesions who were treated in Shiyan People′s Hospital from Jan 2021 to Dec 2022 were recruited as the research subjects, 36 of whom had cervical cancer and were assigned as the group A, 41 had squamous intraepithelial lesion(SIL) and were assigned as the group B, and 47 had cervicitis and were assigned as the group C. The expression of HPV was compared among the three group. The efficiencies of miR-let-7d-5p, miR-3607-3p and CIP2A in diagnosis of cervical cancer were analyzed by means of receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves.
RESULTS The positive rate of expression of HPV, high-load expression rate of HPV E6/E7 messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) and expression level of CIP2A in cervical tissues were higher in the group A than in the group B and the group C; the above indexes of the group B were higher than those of the group C (P < 0.05). The expression levels of cervical tissue miR-let-7d-5p and miR-3607-3p of the group A were lower than those of the group B and the group C, and the expression levels of above indexes of the group B were lower than those of the group C(P < 0.05). The result of ROC curve analysis showed that the area under curve (AUC) of the joint detection of miR-let-7d-5p, miR-3607-3p and CIP2A was 0.937 in diagnosis of cervical cancer, with the sensitivity 94.44%, the specificity 85.23%.
CONCLUSION The patients with cervical cancer show high positive rate of expression of HPV and high-load expression rate of HPV E6/E7 mRNA as well as the abnormal expressions of miR-let-7d-5p, miR-3607-3p and CIP2A in cervical tissues. The joint detection of the three indexes has high efficiency in diagnosis of cervical cancer.
