Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To design the informatization traceability system of endoscopes and assess the application effect on management of the gastrointestinal endoscopic center.
METHODS The information regarding 1 690 case-times of patients who were treated with endoscopes was collected from the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital in Nov 2021 and were assigned as the control group; the information regarding 1 495 case-times of patients who were treated with endoscopes in the first week of Nov, 2022 was collected as the study group. The conventional manual traceability management was carried out in the control group, and the whole-process informatization traceability management was adopted in the study group. The qualified rate of cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes, completeness rate of traceability content, time consumption of traceability and registration, placement time of contaminated endoscopes and four serological test items were brought into the traceability system and were compared between the two groups, and the effect on the whole process was observed.
RESULTS There was no significant difference in the qualified rate of cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes between the two groups. The completeness rate of traceability content was 100.00% in the study group, 91.78% in the control group, and there was significant difference (P < 0.05). As for the incomplete traceability content of the control group, the information loss of operating doctors accounted for 5.86%, the information loss of endoscope delivery personnel accounted for 4.50%, and the information loss of patients′ number accounted for 2.25%. The time consumption of traceability and registration was (7.55±1.30)s in the study group, (30.89±3.68)s in the control group, and there was significant difference(P < 0.05). The placement time of contaminated endoscopes was 3.80(1.90, 5.90)min in the study group, 7.00(6.00, 8.00)min in the control group, and there was significant difference between the two groups(z=-30.629, P < 0.001). 96.15% of the health care workers approved that the four serological test indexes that were brought in the traceability system played a role in reminding of occupational protection.
CONCLUSION The informatization traceability system can be applied in the management of use of endoscopes, transferring delivery and flow of cleaning and disinfection, it can remarkably improve the quality and efficiency of traceability. The four serological test indexes show remarkable effect on indication and boost protection awareness.
