Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To formulate an expert consensus on general management guidelines for infectious disease prevention and control in workplace, thereby reducing both productivity losses and public health risks caused by infectious diseases.
METHODS Systematic searches were conducted for laws, regulations, standards and literature related to infectious disease prevention and control in the workplace. A behavioral evidence dataset was established through literature review. The drafting expert group discussed the dataset to construct a pool of guideline items, based on which a Delphi expert consultation questionnaire was developed. After two rounds of Delphi expert consultation, items were screened and optimized to form a draft of the guidelines. The expert group further deliberated on the draft, which was then reviewed by authoritative experts in disease control, ultimately finalizing the expert consensus on general management guidelines for infectious disease prevention and control in workplace.
RESULTS The guidelines include 8 primary items: management requirements, vaccination against infectious diseases, health education, health monitoring, attendance management, environmental cleaning, disinfection and ventilation, material supply and management and emergency response to infectious disease outbreaks, along with 28 secondary items.
CONCLUSION The expert consensus on general management guidelines for infectious disease prevention and control in workplace is both scientifically rigorous and practically feasible, providing general guidance for various workplaces to implement standardized infectious disease prevention and control practices.
