Abstract: OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical effect of Yishen Huayu Touxie Decoction on treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus nephritis and prevention of concurrent infection.METHODS A total of 52 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus nephritis who were treated from Dec 2014 to Sep 2017 were recruited as the study objects and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.The experimental group was treated with Yishen Huayu Touxie Decoction combined with cyclophosphamide and prednisone,while the control group was treated with cyclophosphamide and prednisone.Both groups were treated for 6 courses,4 weeks a course.The clinical curative effect,systemic lupus erythematosus nephritis activity index score,liver and kidney function,plasma albumin level and white blood cell counts were observed and compared between the two groups of patients;the incidence rates of infection and other adverse reactions were analyzed.RESULTS The effective rate of clinical treatment of the experimental group was 96.15%.The SLEDAI score,ESR,ds-DNA antibody level,24-hour urine protein and urine erythrocyte level of the experimental group were sighificantly lower than those of the control group after the treatment（P＜0.05）,while the levels of serum white blood cell,albumin and creatinine of the experimental group were sighificantly higher than those of the control group（P＜0.05）,and the incidence rate of infection of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group（P=0.026）;there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients.CONCLUSION Yishen Huayu Touxie Decoction can achieve remarkable effect on treatment of the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus nephritis and on prevention of concurrent infection.It is worthy to be further studied and promoted in hospitals.
