Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To understand the current status and prevalence rate of nosocomial infections in hospitalized patients and analyze the influencing factors so as to formulate the prevention measures for the nosocomial infections and provide evidence for the future investigation.
METHODS By means of review of medical records combined with bedside investigation, the prevalence rate of nosocomial infections was investigated for the patients who were hospitalized from 2012 to 2014.
RESULTS The prevalence rate of nosocomial infections was 0.22% in 2012, 1.15% in 2013, 1.41% in 2014; the incidence of community-acquired infections was 3.74% in 2012, 19.27% in 2013, 17.27% in 2014; the submission rate of pathogens for drug therapy was 39.00% in 2012, 16.28% in 2013, 12.05% in 2014; the positive rate of detection was 17.82% in 2012, 12.68% in 2013, 6.67% in 2014.
CONCLUSION The prevalence rate of nosocomial infections is relatively low in the county-level hospitals, while the incidence of community-acquired infections is relatively high. The submission rate of specimens of the hospitalized patients is very important. The significance of investigation of the prevalence rate is greater in the above county-level hospitals than in the below county-level hospitals.
