Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of the combined treatment of hyperbaric oxygen and Yinzhihuang oral liquid in children with infectious jaundice with damp-heat stagnation syndrome.
METHODS A prospective randomized controlled study of 104 children with infectious jaundice with damp-heat stagnation syndrome in the hospital from May 2018 to May 2020 was selected. The children were divided into a study group and a control group using a random number table, with 52 cases in each group. On the basis of conventional treatment, the control group was given hyperbaric oxygen, and the study group was given hyperbaric oxygen combined with Yinzhihuang oral liquid for 1 week. The efficacy, time of symptom improvement, length of hospitalization, and incidence of adverse reactions, the jaundice index, neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA) score, serum inflammatory factors tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), C-reactive protein(CRP), procalcitonin(PCT), unconjugated bilirubin(UCB), transferrin(TRF) and albumin(ALB) before treatment and 1 week after treatment were compared between the two groups.
RESULTS The total effective rate of the study group was 90.38%, higher than the 71.15% of the control group. After 1 week of treatment, the jaundice index was lower than that of the control group. The jaundice subsided, meconium emptying and hospital stay were significantly shorter than those of the control group(
P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, the NBNA scores and serum TRF levels in the two groups after 1 week of treatment increased, and the increase in the study group was more significant, and the levels of serum TNF-α, CRP, PCT, UCB, and ALB decreased, and the decrease in the study group was more significant(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The combination of hyperbaric oxygen and Yinzhihuang oral liquid had a significant clinical effect in the treatment of infectious jaundice with damp-heat stagnation syndrome. It had a positive effect on improving the symptoms of jaundice in children and promoting neurodevelopment. At the same time, it can reduce the body’s inflammatory response, promote bilirubin metabolism. At the same time, it could reduce inflammation in the body, promote bilirubin metabolism, regulate the expression of UCB, TRF, and ALB, and speed up the recovery of children.
