Microbiological diagnosis of ventilator-associated tracheobronchitis

In this article,the definition,epidemiology and pathogens,pathogenesis,diagnosis and antibiotic treatment strategy of ventilator-associated trachaeobronchitis（VAT）were introduced.The microbiological diagnosis and progress were mainly summarized.The analysis showed that,the timely and appropriate treatment of VAT could reduce the use of antibiotics and cost,and attention to the diagnosis,prevention and treatment of VAT had become an important target of preventing and reducing the incidence of VAP.
