Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical values of procalcitonin(PCT),cholinesterase(ChE)and troponin I(cCTnI)in the evaluation of septil patients′conditions and prognosis.METHODS A total of 107 patients with sepsis who had been receiving treatment in our hospital between Mar.2012 to Mar.2015 were selected as the research objects, who were divided into sepsis group with 45 cases, severe sepsis group with 38 cases and sepsis shock group with 24 cases, according to their diseases condition. They were divided into death group 22 cases and survive group 85 cases, according to whether dead in 28 dafter admission to hospital. The PCT,ChE and CTnI of these patients were detected and compared 24 hours,3days and 5days after admission to the hospital for comparison in different groups.RESULTS On admission, the levels of PCT and CTnI in the septic shock group and severe sepsis group were significantly higher than those in the sepsis group, and the PCT and CTnI in the septic shock group were significantly higher than those in the severe sepsis group.ChE in the septic shock group and the severe sepsis group was significantly lower than that in the sepsis group, and that in the septic shock group was also shown to be significantly lower than that in the severe sepsis group(P<0.05).PCT and CTnI in the death group were both significantly higher than those in the survival group at each time point, yet the ChE level was significantly lower than that in the survival group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION PCT,ChE and CTnI can serve as significant indicators in the evaluation of the condition and prognosis of patients with sepsis in clinic.
