Investigation and study of thoracic cavity closed drainage tuberelative infection status with thoracotomy patients

OBJECTIVE To investigate and study of thoracic cavity closed drainage tube relative infection status in patients with thoracotomy,so as to provide reference for preventing and reducing the infection of drainage tube.METHODS A total of 120 patients with thoracic cavity closed drainage tube relative infection after thoracotomy from Jan.2013 to Dec.2015 were selected.The drainage tube relative infection status and other related factors may cause infections were under investigation.RESULTS There were 28 cases of postoperative drainage tube relative infections in 120 cases of patients with thoracotomy,and the infection rate was 23.34%,in which the engraftment infection related with drainage tube was the main one.There were 24 strains of pathogenic bacteria,9strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa,5strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae,4strains of Staphylococcus aureus,3strains of Staphylococcus haemolyticus,2strains of Staphylococcus epidermidis,and 1strains of Acinetobacter,accounting for 37.50%,20.83%,16.67%,12.50%,8.33% and 4.17% respectively.Infection of patients elder than 60 years old,drainage tube indwelling time,the drainage tube amount and drainage tube nursing times were the related factors.CONCLUSION Engraftment infection is more often to see in thoracotomy patients postoperative thoracic cavity closed drainage pipe related infections,but wounds and tissue infection is relatively less.P.aeruginosa are the main pathogens of infection.Age,number of drainage tube and the indwelling time,nursing status are closely related with the incidence of infection.
