Effect of Fuyanping capsules combined with clotrimazole on treatment of women with vaginitis

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Fuyanping capsules combined with clotrimazole vaginal tablets on treatment of women with vaginitis.METHODS A total of 182 patients with vaginitis who were treated in hospitals from Jan 2015 to Dec 2016 were recruited as the study objects and randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group according to the order of admission to hospital, with 91 cases in each group. The control group was treated with clotrimazole vaginal tablets, while the experimental group was treated with clotrimazole vaginal tablets combined with Fuyanping capsules. The clinical effects and time of disappearance of clinical symptoms were observed, and the changes of clinical symptoms, inflammatory factors in vaginal lavage fluid and serum oxidative stress products were analyzed before and after the treatment.RESULTS The total effective rate of treatment of the experimental group was 94.50%, higher than 81.32% of the control group (χ²=7.445,P=0.009). The clinical symptoms of the two groups of patients such as vulva, vaginal swelling, pruritus, fever and chills, dysuresia, dysmenorrhea, emotional irritability and emotional depression were improved more significantly after the treatment than before the treatment, which were improved more significantly in the experimental group than in the control group (P＜0.05). The time of disappearance of clinical symptoms such as leucorrhea, vulva pruritus, vulvovaginal pain and mucosal hyperemia was significantly shorter in the experimental group than in the control group (P＜0.05).The levels of IL-2, IL-6, IL-8 and MDA of the two groups of patients were significantly lower after the treatment than before the treatment, while the levels of SOD and NO were significantly elevated (P＜0.05), the above indexes were improved more significantly in the experimental group than in the control group (P＜0.05).CONCLUSION Fuyanping capsules combined with clotrimazole vaginal tablets can achieve favorable clinicalHT5"SSeffect on treatment of vaginitis, improve the clinical symptoms of the patients, shorten the time of disappearance of clinical symptoms and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors and serum oxidative stress products; it is worthy to be promoted in the hospital.
