Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the related factors for nosocomial infections in patients with pemphigus and analyze the drug resistance of pathogens causing infections.METHODS A total of 129 patients with pemphigus who were treated in hospitals from Jan 2011 to Jan 2016 were enrolled in the study, and the related factors for the infections and etiological characteristics of the pemphigus patients were observed.RESULTS Totally 25 patients had infections, with the infection rate 19.38%. The use of hormones plus gamma globulin, skin lesion score no less than 4 points, severe illness condition, albumin level less than 30g/L and course of disease no less than 6 months were the related factors for the infections (P<0.05). The multivariate regression analysis showed that the skin lesion score no less than 4 points, severe illness condition and albumin level less than 30g/L were the influencing factors for the infection in the patients with pemphigus (P<0.05). Staphylococcus aureus strains were highly resistant to penicillin G, gentamicin and tetracycline.CONCLUSION There are a variety of related factors for the infection in the patients with pemphigus, and the pathogens are highly drug-resistant. It is necessary for the hospital to prevent the infections according to the related factors.
