Progress of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with respiratory system Aspergillus infection

Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) exacerbations of are often associated with bacterial and viral infections. However the relationship between Aspergillus infection and COPD progression remains unclear. Although COPD is a risk factor for the development of respiratory Aspergillus disease, the underlying mechanisms of progression from Aspergillus colonization to invasive infection remain unclear. In recent years, the development of molecular technology has enabled us to understand the pathophysiology, clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of respiratory fungal infections. Fungal biome sequencing reveals the role of respiratory Aspergillus infection in the course of COPD, including the association with clinical manifestations, disease progression, and mortality. In this article, we discussed the progressive research of different types of COPD complicated with Aspergillus infection on diagnostic methods and treatment strategies, in order to provide reference for clinical.
